Flu vaccine types: preservative-free shots for children under 36 months
preservative-free shots for children over 36 months
Who can get vaccine: Any established patient in my practice while supplies last
Can parents get the shot from my office: YES!
How do I get my kids the vaccine: Make a shot only appointment and we can give your child (children) the vaccine.
Will you bill insurance for the vaccine: Yes. Be sure to confirm you have vaccine coverage though or you will be responsible for the cost.
Flu vaccine cost if not covered by insurance: Preservative free shot for any age: $50
What are the costs, Molly? (Our insurance does not pay for anything preventative.)
Thanks.
FYI, for kids whose insurance does not cover vaccines (including flu), they are free at the health department through the state’s Vaccines For Children (VFC) program.
