I have planned on having wellness be a focus for my practice and in that vein decided long ago to have a Wellness Center in the office stocked with parenting books and ‘green’ supplies and fitness information and nutrition guidance and breast feeding supplies and so on and so on. I am choosing the products and books that will complement the ideas I am trying to promote: healthy living from day one. I am hoping that parents will choose from the beginning to feed their kids healthy foods, model being physically active, read and sing and play with their children and in doing so create a strong and healthy family in many ways.
The Wellness Center is appropriately painted green in the office and I love the color. It is bright but not overwhelming, crisp and inviting. Mark is exhausted, as you can see from the photo, and after this is done, he will need some serious rest to return to a state of wellness.
Below those photos is the design for my website. None of the content is there (and even the photo will change) but you have a sense of the layout. I am very excited about it! I love the sections on Health + Wellness and Live + Share. I will put physical and emotional health related stuff along with updated medical info in the Health + Wellness area and recipes, hikes, family activities and the community calendar on the Live + Share portion of the site. In both areas you will be able to post comments, suggestions, questions, recipes, etc and I hope it will be a true virtual community.
Tomorrow brings the final plumbing and more painting and electrical stuff, along with ceiling and door installation. Wednesday the floor installation begins! Woo Hoo!
Two weeks from today…..wow!
