I know I am older than many of you out there and grew up listening to ABBA music but I dare you to listen to the soundtrack from Mamma Mia and not just sing out loud.  It is addictive and upbeat and it is what keeps me going on these busy days.  One of the great joys of being a pediatrician (and a parent for that matter) is that some part of you never has to completely grow up.  You can sing and dance and be silly and know all the movements to the Wiggles songs and learn how to dance hip hop too and at least have a decent excuse!

This was a banner day for many reasons….the furniture arrived at the office, I was able to order the giraffe and tree scales I wanted and made a ton of appointments for August.  I can tell that I will be able to pay the rent and my loan payment in August at least and that is a nice feeling!

I am getting the announcement together for the specialists who I refer to and who send patients my way and it is really cute.  Tim Smith’s team at Skidmore is designing it and what a creative bunch they are.  The verbage inside will need some tweaking but the design is fantastic. I wish I could preview it here but the pdf doesn’t seem to copy right.  When it’s done, I will see if Tim can send a version that is uploadable

Here are the scales:

They will arrive just in the nick of time!  Woo Hoo!

Lots still to do but Peter at Allegra Printing is taking care of my prescription pads and I will have a working phone and fax on Friday at the office.  For those of you who actually write phone numbers down for babysitters and school forms and such, my office number is 248-816-2558.  Exciting!

Sing, dance, and be a little silly and each day will be your best!

Abba is great and those scales are really cute, but I’m glad I don’t have to get on one. (Camp food is a killer!) We are excited that we have an appt with you in Aug (though I wish they weren’t for vaccinations).
